If you are running X-windows under Unix or Linux, you may or may not be
able to see Greek or math fonts when browsing with Netscape. This will
depend on:
(a) whether you have the proper fonts on your machine and
(b) whether you are telling X-windows to use the right font.

Let's assume (a) is true.
Then you may have to create a file called .Xdefaults in your home
directory.  It's a hidden file that can contain lots of options for Xwindows.
If it does not exist (i.e. if "ls -la .Xdefaults" comes up with nothing), then type:

echo "Netscape*documentFonts.charset*adobe-fontspecific: iso8859-1" > .Xdefaults

If the file already exists, replace the > in the above statement
with >> and the required line will be appended to .Xdefaults.

Restart netscape, and you should be able to see the symbols.
