OUR EXPERIENCE AT NASA

I am a student from Garnet-Patterson Middle School. The things I enjoy at NASA is that we did experiments like playing with play-doh in constructing a meteorite with beads of different colors and interview people that work at NASA. They told us about what they do and the skills necessary for their profession. We learned that comets can create crators and we also found out that there are many craters on the seven continents. The week of february 16-19,1999 we participate in a program called SUNBEAM stand for Student United w/NASA becoming Enthusiastic About Math and Science.

I am a student from Garnet-Patersson Middle School. What I like about NASA is the activity we did a lot of things. The first day I went I thougt it was going to be boring but now I see it is fun.We played with play-doh and constructed a meteorite. We learned about the various elements found in a meteorite. Each element is represented by a different color we used beads to represent the various colors. We also saw a demostration of a hairy comet. It was fun observing the vapor coming from the comet. We interviewed several scientist and learned about their profession. It was really interesting. We looked at a spectroscopy and abserved the lights being emitted from various element (neon, oxygen, hydrogan, helium) It was fun at NASA.
