Chi^2 profiles
&chi² profiles after Forward-Fitting
As a test of Forward Fit's validity, Ed Schmahl created a program that helps
the user investigate the calculated source parameters' goodness-of-fit. Gordon
Hurford's Forward Fit routine calculates eight parameters for a source, in this
case a flare with two footpoints. The parameters include fwhm, flux, x
position, and y position for the two footpoints.
All of the files in this chart are &chi² profiles for the listed flare
through various energy bins. Initial parameters, used by Forward Fit, are also
listed in the file.
