Communication Between coLinux and the Windows Host Operating System

  1. Use PuTTY and WinSCP (both freeware) to transfer files and ssh between coLinux and Windows. The private IP addresses for coLinux and the Windows host are 192.168.37.40 and 192.168.37.10, respectively.

  2. To display X window's applications install an X server application such as Xming or Cygwin on your Windows machine.
Xming users will need to add 192.168.37.40 to their X0.hosts file found in the Xming installation directory.
Cygwin users need to add xhost +inet:192.168.37.40 to their Cygwin's .bash_profile file.
