Utility Routines for Fermi Solar Data Analysis
<back to Fermi Solar Flare
Observations page>
The following routines are available in SSW IDL. Click the name to see
the documentation.
- fermi_get_dn
- Get Fermi daylight time intervals
- fermi_get_gti
- Get Fermi valid data time intervals (not in SAA)
- fermi_met2tim
- Convert Fermi Mission Elapsed Time (MET) to time in seconds since 1-Jan-1979
- fermi_tim2met
- Convert time in anytim format to Fermi Mission Elapsed Time (MET)
-
gbm_find_data
- Find and copy FERMI GBM cspec, ctime, and poshist files by date and detector
-
gbm_find_rsp
- Find and copy FERMI GBM response files by time and detector
-
gbm_get_det_cos
- Return the cosine of the angle between each Fermi GBM detector and the Sun
-
gbm_get_ephem
- Return Fermi GBM ephemeris data for for requested times
-
gbm_make_rsp
- Make Fermi GBM response files (must be on hesperia to use this)
-
gbm_plot_det_cos
- Plot cosine of angle to Sun for the six most sunward Fermi GBM detectors
-
gbm_read_cat
- Read Fermi GBM solar flare catalog and return structure
-
gbm_read_trigcat
- Read Fermi GBM Trigger Catalog and return structure
-
lat_get_exposures - return LAT solar exposure information and Good Time
Intervals
-
lat_maxlike_plot - generate a quicklook plot of the LAT data for a specified
time interval from the maximum-likelihood method data
-
lat_plot_exposures - plot LAT solar exposure information, overlaid by GTI
and/or Response File times
-
lat_plot_lc - plot LAT light-bucket lightcurve at 1-min resolution (exposure-corrected counts)
-
lat_qlook_plot - generate a quicklook plot of the LAT data for a specified
time interval from the light-bucket method data
-
lat_rsp_times - retrieve time intervals covered by LAT response files within
specified time interval
-
lat_tim2wk -return the week number for specified time (LAT weekly files are
named by week number)
-
lat_write_exp_textfile -write a text and save file listing time intervals and effective area when LAT solar exposure is > 200 cm^2 s
