EARLY OPERATIONS – PMT-RAS

Adjustable parameters:     High voltage
Accumulation time (default = 1 ms)
Readout interval (default = 250 ms)

bulletInitial operational strategy:
bulletTurn on with default parameters when solar pointing established and spin rate > 3 rpm
bulletDefault settings may be operationally acceptable.
bulletMost of analysis can be done in parallel with RAS/SAS checkout.
bulletSome software adaptations probably required.
bulletData continuity with default parameters requires:
bulletDownlink gaps less than 17.8 hours
bulletIntegration of realtime and stored data into level 0 database.
bulletEarly RAS and PMT-RAS overlap is desirable.
bulletProvides early confirmation of absolute roll calibration
bulletSupports diagnoses of unanticipated problems.
bulletPMT-RAS analysis software partially completed.
bulletBasic functionality and displays used for alignment data analysis.
bulletAdaptation to flight data expected by March.
bulletIntermediate data product from PMT feeds into RAS analysis software.
