The body of the telescope is PVC tube; the grids are transparencies with slats
printed on them.  Each grid consists of two layers because a single layer is not
sufficiently opaque.  The grids are held in place with paperboard.  The interior
of the telescope is black to reduce the amount of light reflecting off the inside
surfaces of the telescope.
