The GOES background level started the week at ~B2 and dropped to ~A5 yesterday. Activity has picked up in the most recent day, including two C-class flares. However, the activity appears to be mostly from region 0663, which will be passing over the limb shortly. How many GOES flares occurred? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 8 2 0 0 There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 47 / 27 over the time range 22-Aug-04 29-Aug-04 2. Memory Management: Not a problem. See operations for changes that may affect memory in the future. 3. Operations: - On Monday August 23, the decimation state was changed from active/vigorous to normal/active. - On Tuesday August 24, the voltage on detector 2 was turned down. It is still operating in a segmented mode, but there is some "weird" noise. Investigations are underway to see if a increase or decrease in the voltage will fix the problem. - On Thursday August 26, the decimation state was changed from normal/active to normal/normal. - Starting on Friday August 27, the nighttime events from the front segments are being stored.
