RHESSI Tohban report, February 7, 2005 to February 14, 2005 Amir Caspi (cepheid@ssl.berkeley.edu) [1] Solar Activity Activity during the past week was very weak, with only 9 C-class flares in total. 5 of the flares were at least partially observed by RHESSI, with excellent coverage of 3 of those. [2] Memory Management With the low activity, memory has not been a significant issue. The SSR has remained between ~5% and ~40% the entire week, and is currently at ~10% as of pass on 14-Feb-2005 @ 10:51 UT. [3] Data Gaps There is a 5-minute gap in the VC3 data on 8 Feb 2005. There are also numerous gaps in the QuickLook plots, but these are not listed on the Daily Data Gaps page - this is presumably a software bug. [4] Special Operations The high voltages for detectors 5 and 6 were lowered by 4 steps on 8 Feb 2005. Due to the low activity and therefore the low SSR level, the front segments have been operating at night since 8 Feb 2005. This will likely continue as long as solar and particle activity remain low. [5] Other Notes The 2005 transit of the Crab will occur only a few days after the RHESSI workshop in Switzerland. Careful planning will be required. Next week's tohban: Amir Caspi (again)
