RHESSI Tohban report, 17-May-2006 to 24-May-2006 Pascal Saint-Hilaire, shilaire@ssl.berkeley.edu 1. Solar Activity Solar activity was very low, for a change. We've had 9 B-flares, 4 of which occured within a few hours. RHESSI was being eclipsed during the impulsive phase of the strongest one, but we caught all the decay phase, hurray! We currently have 3 AR that have been pretty mild until now. GOES background level started around the A2 level, and is now around A5. MDI farside images do not show any AR to rotate to the earthside soon. How many GOES flares occurred? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 3 0 0 0 And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 2 0 0 0 And how many had EXCELLENT coverage? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 1 0 0 0 There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 10 / 3 over the time range 16-May-06 23-May-06 2. Memory management During the last few days, the SSR fill level ranged between ~17% and 0%. 3. Decimation & attenuator Decimation is NORMAL/VIGOROUS, front segment data are not taken during S/C night. Front decimation only came on a couple of times, during data replaying (see MISC., further on). Attenuator state remained unchanged (both out) throughout the week. 4. Data gaps The datagaps webpage and Observing Summary fits files seem to indicate three large datagaps: between ~01:45 and 04:00 and between 06:30 and 10:00 on 2006/05/18, as well as between ~13:00 and 16:00 on 2006/05/19. (Two A5 flares have been lost...)
