RHESSI Tohban report, 24-Jan-2007 to 31-Jan-2007 Pascal Saint-Hilaire, shilaire@ssl.berkeley.edu 1. Solar Activity Two important ARs (10940 & 10941) appeared over the eastern limb earlier this week, producing a few C-flares, and generally raising the GOES baseline level from low As to ~B1 at some times. We're currently back to ~A3. How many GOES flares occurred? ...well, it seems that hsi_tohban_flare_counter.pro does not work properly anymore, because there are no longer gev files in $DIR_GEN_GEV (/disks/solar/rhsi_data/sswdb/gev) since January 11th. I checked sohoftp (the site where we mirror those data from), and they also do not have them. I sent an email to Kim, and she replied that the problem (which was at Lockheed) has now been fixed. 2. Memory management Memory has been close to 0% most of the week, never going beyond 10%. 3. Data Gaps Perfect record until yesterday at midnight (UT), except for the following 2.25 hour gap:: GAP START TIME GAP END TIME GAP (SEC) 2007-01-25T13:05:00.000 -- 2007-01-25T15:20:00.000 8100.0000 which occured during the decay phase of a C-flare. 4. MISC. Hugh brought the tohban beeper in Scotland. He'll be back sometime next week... 5 Next Tohban: Martin Fivian
