RHESSI Tohban report, 18-June-2008 to 25-June-2008 Martin Fivian (mfivian@ssl.berkeley.edu) 1. Solar Activity The Sun was relatively quiet this week. Although a small active region turned around the disk, the goes level was barely elevated above the baseline. 2. Memory Management Over the weekend, a few passes have been lost and the data had to be replayed. This caused the SSR level to creep up a bit with a maximum at about 37% and minimums at about 12%. All the data could be recovered and the SSR is on the way to be emptied. 4. Offpointing operations On Monday, 2008-06-23, BGS 34985, the S/C ACS has been put in precession mode starting the re-acquisition of Sun-pointing. As of 2008-06-25, RHESSI is pointing at the Sun in normal science mode. - decimation: Normal/Active - attenuator logic enabled - HLAT commands on - Front segment data at night - SAS nominal 5. Spin rate On first BGS at 2008-06-25, spin-up started with nominal target of 15rpm. 6. SAS diagnostics While still off-pointing, during the two orbits before starting the precession mode (orbits 34983 and 34984), the SAS has been commanded to acquire data to measure the offset and signal level for one orbit each. This data will show the long term trends since launch. 7. Data Gaps The following data gaps in the monitor rate and SOH data are reported: GAPS IN APP_ID = 102 (VC3-MONITOR RATES) WITH PACKET RATE LT 30 GAP START TIME GAP END TIME GAP (SEC) 2008-06-24T17:45:00.000 -- 2008-06-25T00:00:00.000 22500.000 2008-06-21T22:10:00.000 -- 2008-06-21T23:15:00.000 3900.0000 2008-06-18T08:55:00.000 -- 2008-06-18T09:00:00.000 300.00000 GAPS IN APP_ID = 1 (VC1-SOH) WITH PACKET RATE LT 30 GAP START TIME GAP END TIME GAP (SEC) 2008-06-19T13:15:00.000 -- 2008-06-19T13:25:00.000 600.00000
