Solar Activity

No notable GOES activity. One active region appeared just near the western limb on the 22nd, but was quickly occulted.

Off-pointing

We returned from off-pointing on April 22nd and began spin-up.

Memory Management

The SSR is essentially emptying after each pass. There was one bad pass from Wallops on the 18th, resulting in ~1.5 hours lost data, which we are in the process of recovering. No other data gaps.

Science

Steve Christe gave a talk demonstrating the connection between microflares and microwaves; see his email for the powerpoint.

We looked at some plots provided by Iain showing RHESSI's background rate (as measured during off-pointing) gradually rising, with a sort of "reset" after the anneal. We discussed whether this was indicative of detector degradation -- Dave pointed out that we might expect the counts to go the other way as degradation decreases effective area. It was proposed to check the rear counts as well to see if the effect is reversed in the rear detectors (indicating that the line of segmentation is changing).
