Solar Activity

There was no significant activity this week with only B class flares occurring. It looks like it will continue this way for the time being unless an EFR appears.

How many GOES flares occurred?

Flares above B, C, M, X class were      7     0     0     0

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

Flares above B, C, M, X class were      6     0     0     0

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

Flares above B, C, M, X class were      4     0     0     0

Memory Management

The SSR is emptying at the end of each pass. We remain in normal/active decimation mode.

Both front and rear data will now be taken during eclipse. This will likely have an effect on the SSR fill level. In addition, the shuttle is due for launch next week which will have a detrimental affect on our passes, and therefore will make it more difficult to empty the SSR. Also, if the disk-center EFR continues to grow, it may produce some interesting flares which we will want to catch so the SSR fill level should be monitored closely this week.

Spacecraft Status

No special commanding; all spacecraft parameters are nominal, although Detector 6 continues to arc occasionally, the worst of which was seen here: http://sprg.ssl.berkeley.edu/~tohban/browser/?show=grth+monfr+monff&date=20110625&time=025555

The high voltage for G6 will be dropped 4 steps per David Smith to try to alleviate the arcs.

A spinup will be preformed later this week, depending on activity.
