Solar Activity

There are currently five active regions on the disk. There was a significant amount of activity during the week, the most notorious event was a M9 solar flare on 30-July-2011/02:09UT. The flare was hosted by the AR1261. This active region generated a large amount of C class flares an on August 3 a series 3 M class flares.

How many GOES flares occurred?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were     21    58     3     0

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were     11    42     3     0

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were      8    26     1     0
