Solar Activity

Solar Activity this week was low with only 12 C class flares. There are currently 8 active regions on disk with a forecast of low to intermediate events for the next 48 hours. STEREO B shows a couple of small active regions are due to rotate onto the disk within the next couple of days.

How many GOES flares occurred?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were      9    12     0     0

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were      7    10     0     0

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were      4     4     0     0

Data Gaps

Detector issues

The HV on detector 8 was lowered by 6 steps to 3554 V at 2012-09-21 15:59:51 UT. However it still shows a slower day coming out of the SAA than other detectors.
