Solar Activity

Some activity, but not much. Some C and one M flare.

How many GOES flares occurred?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 8 30 1 0

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 6 20 1 0

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 5 11 0 0

There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 218 / 39 over the time range 17-Mar-15 24-Mar-15

Memory Management

Decimation was active/vigorous for the full time period. Both front and rear detectors are off during SC night, except for 4 minutes on either side. The SSR is at 30%, with all BGS passes yet to happen.

Spacecraft Status

The cold plates, 1 and 2 were at 131.1 and 129.65 K, on 2015-03-23. The solar array temperature (1) and the Cryocooler power converter temperature are consistently above thier yellow limits, at 100 and 53 C, respectively. Maybe we need a limits change

Detector issues

Detectors 2 and 4 are unsegmented. We raised the rear fast threshold on D9 to 0xc0 on 18-mar-2015, to try to increase live time. This did not work very well; live time for D9r peaks at 20%. D8 rear also has live time decreasing each day, now D8r live time peaks at 80%.

On 20-mar-2015, we lowered the HV on D6 by 20 steps, this resulted in a live time increase for D6f from 40 to 90 %. Efforts to lower the fast threshold from 0x70 to 0x50 failed.
