Solar Activity

The sun was quiet this week with only 5 C-class flares only 2 of which RESSI saw.

How many GOES flares occurred?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 32 5 0 0

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 11 2 0 0

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 6 0 0 0

There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 67 / 37 over the time range 07-Jun-16 14-Jun-16

Memory Management

Decimation was normal/vigorous for the full time period. The SSR is empty after each day's passes. Detectors are on full-time, including spacecrft night, and rear segment decimation is turned off.

Spacecraft Status

Detectors 3 and 8 are powered on, and are recording events. The cold plates, 1 and 2 are at 110, 108K.

On we entered ACS idle mode due to a spin rate anomaly. The spacecraft was spun up and resumed normal pointing on .

Cryocooler power increased from 72 - 76 W.

Accelerations ranged from 10-13mg. After powering up the cryocooler, Jeremy noted a ~1.5 mg increase.

Adjust thresholds for the shutters since Sa"m noticed that there was significant pileup during a flare in the past week. Jeremy will look into what the thresholds were back in 2002/2003 and try to set the thresholds similarly. This will be a decision between the Tohban and ops as to what the new threshold will be set to.

Difficulty commanding and uploading the ATS load this week. Its thought that this is due to noise on the bus from the increased cryocooler power.

Data Gaps

No significant data gaps this week.

Detector issues

Detectors 3 and 8 are powered on, and are recording events.
