Solar Activity

Solar activity continued to be very low this week, with the Sun mostly maintaining a background X-ray flux for days straight. There is currently only one named, and not complex, sunspot group on disk.

Memory Management

Since we had decided to not have passes during night, to conserve on battery voltage, we have a creeping SSR because we aren't able to downlink all the data on 4-5 mostly AGO passes per day. We had roughly a 3% per day overall increase after the pass set. After reaching ~60% we moved the pointer and SSR dropped to 0%.

Spacecraft Status

In the past week, the temperature spikes have not returned and they have been steadily decreasing. Accelerometer reading were normal in the past week as well.

Cold Tip Temperature 1 118.404 K

	Cold Tip Temperature 2 116.719	K
	Cold Plate Temperature 1 142.424	K
	Cold Plate Temperature 2 140.954	K

Data Gaps

Large data gap due to moving the pointer Nov 4 - Nov 8

Detector issues

Detectors 3 and 9 are powered on, and are recording events.

Commanding for D9 front and rear fast thresholds have decreased the rates and increased livetime. D9 front fast is still somewhat high and next tohban might want to increase the fast threshold.

Ops meeting: Turn on high latitude decimation this week

Notes

To spare the battery, data is telemetered only when spacecraft is in sunlight, severely reducing our ability to quickly monitor any effect of e.g. threshold changes, as ground passes with other stations than BGS typically do not give us monitor rates in real time.
