1. Exposure Control Wavelength The wavelength pull-down menu sets the wavelength band of the TRACE instrument. Each of the selections corresponds to a particular configuration of the rotating shutter and filter wheels. The first eight entries are the standard baseline settings for scientific observation. The others should only be used for special purposes and testing. Exposure time Exposure can either use an absolute exposure time or the Automatic Exposure Control (AEC). For the AEC, either the default or last value can be used. Only a specific set of absolute exposures are actually available. If an arbitrary value is entered in the field, the exposure time nearest the entered value will be used. To see the actual value, activate the "scan entries" button under the file menu. This scans all the entries and checks for consistency and replaces the entered exposure time with the nearest available one.
