View Connections - quick keys C and D Views can be "connected" such that their scrolls and orientations and zooms are linked together. Only one connection set is supported. The tool is under the display menu for each view. To add the view to the connected set, activate the option button. A faster alternate method is to hit the "c" key after clicking in the window. A "d" will then disconnect anytime later. If the view has a solar coordinate associated with it, this will be used to align it with the other views (assuming they have a coordinate as well). In particular, the TRACE channels will be offset according to the time dependent offset table. This means that blinking connected windows will show the images aligned (ditto for fades). An additional offset can also be specified in the fields supplied. The units are in image pixels and work in the sense of moving the image by the value entered. If the image has no solar coordinate, the solar position of the image center (in image pixels) can be entered in these fields. Or it can be used to "tweak" TRACE offsets. Note that connecting several windows will slow down the response of the scroll bars. Adjusting any window in the set will update all others. There is no master/slave relation. As a visual clue, the color of the scroll bars is changed when a window is connected. A button is also provided in the widget to turn off all the window connections with one tap. As noted above, a particular window can be connected/disconnected via the "c" and "d" keys.
