Relative Amplitudes: Interpretation

• Gaussian profiles are inconsistent with the observed relative amplitudes.

• A better fit to the profiles is Rel Amp ~ exp(-ak).

• This is the transform of {(r/a)^2+1}^-3/2 , so the source
  brightness falls off roughly asymptotically as r^-3/2 rather than exp{-(r/a)^2}

• What's the physics here?
  • 3-D geometry?
  • Core-Halo? (Double Superimposed Gaussians)
  • Albedo sources?

• Are these results consistent with Pixons?
